Hello beautiful listeners,
Breaking the Glass Slipper is now into its third year (hooray)! We’ve loved exploring the topics which are important to us, learning from guests, being part of the community, and we’re so encouraged by the conversations now taking place around women in speculative fiction.
As much as we love it, however, BtGS is a passion project, requiring a significant commitment of resources. We talked long and hard about the need to recoup some of our running costs, sought advice from the pros – Marguerite Kenner and Alasdair Stuart of the excellent Escape Artists, do check them out – and finally came to the decision to start a Patreon.
We now have a dedicated page where we can be transparent about our costs and the ways in which the community might help us to continue creating content. We’re looking to the future with an eye to being at the forefront of speculative fiction in order to support the wonderful women we work alongside.
